Default Wanted: Sub 10K Sited Static Ribble Valley / Skipton Area

Hi,

I'm after a sited static caravan in the East Lancashire or West Yorkshire area. Within 20 miles of Barnoldswick. Any size, shap or model will do. Less then 10K. Please PM if you have anything but please note the location is everything.

Thanks

Darrel

Hi welcome to the forum, I'll tweet this for you, any limit on annual site fees?

Good luck

Thanks Angela. No real limit on the fees although anything over 2K would have to be outstanding....

Default Found one

So i've been looking around a i've found one that I would welcome opinions on. She is an old girl but seem to be well cared for. She is a 1994 Atlas Oakwood 10 X 30. Sited in a very nice park in the Ribble valley. Priced at 6,500, direct from the park, with a 8.5 month site fee of 1,850 (this includes rates etc). I 've not seen it yet but my daughter went, checking it for damp etc and took these photos. All seems to check out ok and she says it's been well looked after.

So what do people think?

Hi, firstly how did you find this caravan out of interest?

She looks in very good condition, I had an Oakwood Super in the early nineties, I loved it!

The price seems high, and cconsidering its quite a short season. Does that include all remaining site fees/rates etc? You'd still need gas/elec/insurance of course. The decking areas look nice too. What age limit is there on the site?

Prices vary dramatically from site to site, on mine you'd pay around 5000 upwards for a '96.

Make sure you look in cupboards for any leaks on corners.

Ps the link appearing shows personal photos too. If you could put the DIRECT LINK to the photos rather than the large photos please. Much appreciated

Thanks Angela, I've edited the pictures and replaced with links. Should save some server space;-)

As for the caravan, I found it by scouring the sites in the area and phoning them. Done it the old fasioned way. The 1,850 is for the full year and does include rates. No site limit on age of caravan, just needs to be kept in good condition and is reviewed every year. Site owner seems like a nice guy. It's a very nice site so I guess they are charging a premium for that. Fingers crossed I'll have a look next weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the advice. We now own her. Managed to get her for 6000 with fees, rates, two 47kg gas tanks, a full exterior clean and Sat TV for the life of our ownership and the decking etc included in that price.

So overall we are very happy. Thanks
