Default coastline site services

if anyone on the east coast.skegness/ingoldmells etc used this company for their draindown be aware that they bust in january and it's causing all sorts of problems for anyone that has a leak when they switch water back on as you now have no one to call to get the leak fixed.

He drained down my van on January 5th, he agreed to come and service my boiler in March on our return. We was informed he had done a runner in Feb, in fact his van is dumped on our site. It wasnt really a problem for us cos I took my own precautions re anti-freeze etc but many around me returned to burst/split pipes. The biggest concern for our site owner is he took all the records with him for each van.

Our site is now being covered by UKGas.

That is awful. I am on the East coast at Easington, but our site does the draindown for 30, this also covers you incase of insurance, they did our drain up for us going last weekend, all is well.

It is best to either have the site do the drain down or learn how to do it yourself.

This is sad news for owners who have paid for a service , and not recieved it. This is not the first time this has happened on the East Coast area, with other so called repairers.

Please do not confuse this company with our repair company. My repairs business trades under the name of CARA-TEC, and carries out all work on a payment on completion basis or as in most cases the customer is not there when we finish the job. In this instance we send an invoice so you can see the finished job before any payment is handed over.

his van will be dumped on your site because seaside leisure parks own it,apparently they went bust last year and was took on by seaside leisure,if my memory serves me right it states on back of van " a division of seaside leisure parks" you could look at the van and confirm this.

if you paid the site for your draindown then they should repair any leaks as you took the contract out with them but if you hired/paid coastline direct then you have nowhere to go
we used to have UK GAS on our site but they stopped using them as they weren't turning up and doing the jobs right, whether they will have them back now we don't know. the owner of our sites knew what was coming as he's gone on holiday and the site manager goes on the 7th.

Just to make things clear, payments for drain downs carried out by Coastline were all paid to the site office and not direct to Coastline, we would all fill out a form, make payment then the plumber would visit each van. Saying that, my insurance stipulates that winter drain downs must be carried out by a reputable plumber/company. That company is no longer there for any potential claims so Im guessing the site owner would now be liable, they dont seem too happy about the situation to say the least.

Yes that is correct, your contract is with the site not the now defunct company. So they by law have to cover all that was included in the original contact and put things right.

Im aware that it does say that on the van. Theres a lot of conflicting reports going around at the moment, its been said that our site took Coastline over, others say different.

Im a bit confused where you say that your site owner knew what was coming and hes away on holiday? your site is owned by the person who owns our site and I saw him this morning.

Are you sure hes not avoiding you lot over there because of the uproar of going from electicity being included in the groundrent to now have cardmeters installed
