to the forum.
There are lots of parks and some will allow you to take a van that you purchase privately. Be prepared to pay a premium for the pitch and connections also transport.

You have had good advice from slattster. Park, pitch, then van.

Good luck with your search. Sometimes patience is required but don't give up.

When I was looking to purchase my first van about 4 yrs ago the "Bring on" fees were quite expensive. For 2 sites in Whitby I was quoted 8k, and 5k. On top of that were the siting fees and transport costs. I decided I was better off buying one on a site and saving myself the hassle and it did work out cheaper.
As has been previously said, people buy from traders either to put on their own land, farms etc Some sites also don't sell their own vans but have an agreement with a trader that vans bought from them can be sited on their park.

I thought i was onto a winner a local dealer advertising a 2015 van for 18k inc delivery within 80 miles aye right try and get a site that will take it !!! exhausted all possibilities in Scotland from Aviemore down to the Borders no one was interested, sites obviously get there cut/back handers from selling new vans some will do bring ons but they need to be owned by you for at least six months and come from another site not a dealer !! something to do with money laundering and proof of ownership so i was told probably a load of BS. anyhow good luck.
