We thought the same as yourselves 3hrs was a reasonable travel, when looking at sites we realised it was to much of a travel and got a map and decided we would draw a circle so we would travel no more than an hour. We have had 3 vans and all within an hour and it is perfect. You must buy a good quality van with good seating and good kitchen etc, you will never stop buying bits for your van and that is all part of the pleasure of having your own van. But don't buy a low quality van especially when your going to spend a lot of time at you van. Get a site with the longest season and the lowest site fees, some charge a fortune and are only open 8 months. Hope this helps a little. John.

It takes us slightly longer than 1 hour. We have a nine-hour journey to the port of Bilbao, wait for the ferry to arrive and disembark the passengers that are on board before we can board. We then have to wait until the boat sets sail before we have a twenty-four hour sailing time. We then wait to disembark before setting off from Portsmouth to travel to the north west of England. Another seven-hour trip. All good fun.

And ours. Just George the manager or if he's on holiday the office staff can offer information.
