Default Permanent residency question while holidays are in the caravan.

Hello, quick legal question please about residency.

Currently, I reside in my caravan for the 10 months full season, and when closed I either go abroad or back to my home, which I pay council tax on.

My question.....if I decide to rent out my UK permanent residence, and bought a home abroad, and pay the local equivalent of council tax, would I be falling foul of the holiday home regulations in the UK?

Thank you in advance.

No, not if you pay your rates in another country. I live in Spain but the last two years I have spent Eight months in my van in England. I produce my rates bill from Spain and the park takes a photostat copy. Should the Council ever checkup, as long as the paperwork is in date, there is no problem.

You may be technically able to do what you suggest, (but don't quote me), but regardless of circumstance using a holiday home for the entire season is against the spirit of the park and you certainly wont be popular with the park owner.
