Wink New girl..

Hello.
I'm Kaz.
My dad's a caravan owner but he's looking to pass it onto my sister. I was just wondering if any of you guys have had experience of this and if so, could you tell me how you went about it.

Thanks

Hi Kaz, to the forum.

Our park does not allow owners to pass on their vans. They can sell them either through the park or by paying 15% of the price received from the buyer.

I got over that problem by adding both my son and my daughter's name to the final invoice.

Your park may have different rules. You would need to check.

The two parks I have been on both allowed a parent to hand their caravan over to a direct descendant, i.e. son or daughter without any fees. Just had to provide proof of relationship.

Ours doesn't guarantee it but says in the event of our death if the children inherit they will allow them if they are suitable. We have them on our owners passes so I assume if they pay the bills the site would be none the wiser.

As mentioned that will change from company to company and maybe even park to park. Probably best to give the office a ring/ email
