Default Butlins Skegness static caravan wanted.

Hello, Were on Waterside Leisure Park at the moment in ingoldmells, been here around 6 yrs, but think its time for a change, our van is a Cosalt Capri 3 bedroom 12x35 8 berth. double glazed central heated with veranda and shed. (2000 model) its in very good condition as its never been rented out and none smokers, and little used, were looking for about the same type of van, newer if possible within budget, Our ground rent is 2700 less 100 if paid by end of november, just gas/elec to pay + ins. We understand the ground rent is twice as much and have also been told there is no transfer fee on butlins site by the staff in the sales office, on our site there is sadly,
If anyone is interested in an swap mine for yours, we could come to some arrangement (no rush) or if you just wish to sell please contact me via private message, Either way this will not happen overnight as we do like to have checks done as i hope you do. (were both in our 60s too )

I am on Butlins and there is a cost to selling privately comes to around 15% of selling price, also the buyer ends up paying around 500 a year more in site fees than anyone who buys from Butlins.

It would seem that Butlins wants it both ways.

You will always pay for “the privilege” of being there either which way. Just someways you pay more than others.

When we bought, obviously fees were a consideration but there were two more important factors. 1. The park had to be located with reasonable access to both our son's home and our daughters. 2. It had to open if not the whole year, very close to that. Our park close from 20th, February till 1st, March. So we are away for just nine nights.

We didn't buy for reasons of taking a holiday as we live on the Costa Blanca in Spain. It was more so that we could help our family with childcare for part of the year and also see more of them. Although they come to stay with us for their holidays, it really wasn't enough.

The park was also a prime reason for picking it. It's well kept and all the staff are really friendly and helpful.
