I’d advise checking with your insurance company as to what they require for a drain down.
I’m not wishing harm on anyone but if something does happen you don’t want to end up finding your not covered then.

*Some insurance companies offer a reduction if you use the floe system. There are also Winter cover dates and stipulations to follow.
We started using ours this weekend, and will continue each weekend as we are on a 12 month site too

Hi, I have been using Floe for some time now and it is brilliant. We drain down in 10 mins every time we leave van in the cold weather just in case.
Here is an email I got off Jason (Floe) re insurance companies. I went with ODB and saved £100 on my insurance.

At the moment it is Leisure Days and One Direct Business. Both will give you a discount of 10% each and every year. Leisure days are large and good by all accounts, but ODB are smaller and very hungry and competitive. I guess it boils down to the money side of things

ODB Call Direct: 01489 663770 Option 2 - Quote ODBFLOE
Leisure Days Call Direct: 01422 395898 - FloŽ Direct Line

Hope this helps

Michael

What is the consensus on the best cat litter as a dehumidifier for the winter.

The silicone crystal cat litter for dehumidifying but not for a cat. Itís too dusty and has been known to cause asthma in cats as I discovered to my catsí cost. Iíve had three asthmatic cats as a result of using it.

I have used the floe drain down system for years. However, due to bad joints etc I decided to upgrade the floe to this baby. Took me minutes to do and I stayed in the warm van.

Hi not sure if it answers your question but we bought this instead of outdoor tap as our water supply had to have a non return valve fitted.

Works a treat with the floe system

I had previously read that the best cat litter to use is one that's made from pure clay only, so have stuck with that for our van for the last few years.
