If you are the sole occupants of your home & your caravan & when you are at the van, there is no one at home & vice versa, then you only need one licence. But if someone stays at home while you are away or if you rent out your van, then you need a licence for your home & the van too. If its the former, all you need to do is fill in a form which you can get online or by ringing the TV licence number. You give them the serial number of your TV licence & the postcode of the caravan park plus your caravan number & address & then your home licence covers your van too.

It also mentions recording at the home address on the website so in theory if you set your equipment to record at home and watch something else at your 'van you could be contravening regs but as someone said who's to know?
I've never seen a TV detector van and even if they exist it'd stick out like the proverbial sore thumb on a caravan park.

You don't even have to pay it at your actual house. It is a big con. There is many videos on the web showing you how to legally get out of not paying it.

Not exactly static related but constantly getting warning notices from Capita (TV Licence "enforcers") that because I have WiFi or they seem to be inferring that if somebody is using 4G/3G on their phones in my business premises they could be watching BBC iPlayer, so I need a TV Licence

They could come knocking at your door in the van, whether you let them in or the Park Owner gives them your details is another matter.
In theory if your car is in your name and is parked next to your van they could find out if they were that desperate or keen. Having said all that it's probably unlikely.
