Default The monument.

This is my version of a bronzed soldier. It is a 1/25 scale figure of a GI running, I liked the pose and wanted to try my hand at 'brassing'.

He is plastic and has been painted then weathered to simulate a outdoor brass/bronze look. He is mounted on a real brick and slate base, grassed and all mounted on a old coffee coaster.

Ta Tia, it turned out rather good. It was just an experiment and I wasn't too bothered if came out bad-luckily it surprised me.

As for time, I don't work as I cannot so just do what I can with plenty of rest periods. Patience, I just listen to music in my work shed and tinker lol.

In fact I enjoyed making this so much I used the same technique on a little plastic Fletcher Class Destroyer, simple kit, brassed and weathered and mounted on a wooden drawer handle and a plastic chair coaster.

Hi there sunshine. Just spotted your latest venture and have to say Im well impressed, although nothing new there as every model you have done has impressed me. I love the way you've managed to make plastic look like bronze.

Hope you are keeping well.

Happy New Year xxxx

Hi Gill, many thanks for the lovely kind words, I am really pleased you like them.

Health wise still not 100% but coping, looking forward to getting back to the van as we hardly went last year-not a good year at all.
