Yes, I do have my own wireless router but it is only 5GB per month.
It suits me fine for a fiver a month.

My comment was meant more as a warning to others.
Just because you have good Wi-Fi on your site it doesn't necessarily mean that a Wi-Fi thermostat can be used.

That’s a fair point. That’s why many of us have sorted out our own more reliable connectivity to the internet so that things like WiFi dependant thermostats will work for us as & when required.

We use a Computherm RF wireless thermostat, which sounds exactly like what you need. We do what you want to ie set the thermostat to 15 and take in the bedroom at night to keep warm. The Computherm can be set to 7 different settings a day and for 7 days of the week. We had a plumber connect it to the boiler and he fitted a wireing block to reduced the power so it runs from the boiler powers so we don't need a seperate plug to the mains. We didn't need a WiFi connection as we didn't go the Hive or Nest route.
