Default Decking

Hi

We have 2 companies that are allowed to fit decking on our park. One is Hallmark and the other is Sunnydecks. Hallmark are meeting us on site to quote in March but I am struggling to contact Sunnydecks. Emails just bounce back. I will try phoning them, a bit tricky as we are in New Zealand at the moment so are 13 hours in front of the UK and I am usually ready for bed at 9pm lol

Is there anything like an average price for decking. I realise they can be all shapes and sizes and accessories too but I mean for a standard run from side entrance door along the length and then an area in front of the front window. I just do not want ripping off.

Cheers

Dave

No standard pricing , we were ripped off on ours but knew about the cost when we got the van so accepted it as part of the cost of being on the site. No doubt you will pay over the odds but the choice is decking or no decking.

You will undoubtedly get cheeper decking by sourcing it and fitting it yourself (or just buying it and getting someone to fit it ) rather than having your park supply and fit it !.....However I would check with your park first to see if 'you' can do this ???? Some parks only allow decking supplied and fitted through them ! ( It called business )

A lot of parks don't allow you to make and fit your own so the above advice is very valid.

You could send Sunnydecks a text explaining your predicament. Add your email address and ask them to email you. If they are still around, they should answer.

If you can only use 2 companies, then the choice will only be out of those 2 prices. Most parks are in with a company and usually there are benefits both ways for the park and decking company.
Just the way it works unfortunately.
As said above, second hand is also an option, if your park allows..
