Well we are going to tesco's on saturday so i will look at the technika but i am more interested in quality rather than size i have uped my limit to 500 so we should come back with something decent for that would love a 46"/47" but 500 doesn't cover that for anything decent but it should be enough for a decent 42"/43" samsung or something maybe an LG

Sorry but this is rubbish, insist and make a fuss, just store policy. Full refund or replacement. Don't ask me how I know.

I've got 4 LG (Lucky Goldstar) Tvs,2 at home one in the van and one abroad, never ever had any complaints at all with any of the them, oldest one is just coming up to 4 years old.
Didn't dare touch tesco own,and I hear from a colleague that the Polaroids from asda ain't much Kop.
Sammys are the best but budget has to suit needs..

Graham
I see Tesco are knocking 20 off if you spend more than 200 as part of their Bank Holiday deals. I bet its just for internet deals but it might be worth taking the reference number with you and asking in store. Nothing to lose

My lad has one and it is okay, the one we had at home went to the van and it went poof in a cloud of smoke after a while. Get what you pay for, the internals are okay but the switches etc are flimsy.

Update

Well we went to tesco's ( 24H ) one and was expecting a huge range to look at as i looked on the tesco's website the other day and they had 100's to choose from but our local tesco's only had about 20 tv's to look at inc the 46" technika so we compaired all the tv's we was interested in and the technika had the best picture quality and as we didn't want to tour the whole of manchester for a telly we decided to go for the 46" technika for 345

That's not a bad price there Graham, as long as you're happy with it, then that's ok. Mindst you, if we had seen one at the same price, we'd probably have got one as well, lol

Yeah tbh when we got it home and set it all up the picture quality was poor the hand book was a bit usless as it told you how things work but it didn't really tell you how to get onto thing properly, anyway after a few hours of messing about with it i descovered that there was different HD settings so i clicked onto the HDM1 setting and the tv just came alive even our next door neighbour with a newish samsung 42" said that ours had a better picture than theirs.
