it all depends
are you looking to subscribe to sky or like most people with statics
are you going for the free to air channels
best thing to do is get an independent satellite installer to do it after getting your own system from ebay or similar and then subscribe to sky after that if you so wish
or you could even install it yourself as i did on my van in the uk and i also installed a satellite system on my mobile home in france
you can install it on the verandah if you have one
if not a lot of people install it off the jockey wheel bar on the tow hitch

i took my old box and dish up to mine when i had HD installed. i downloaded a guide on how to install and set up (find sat etc) on the internet and set mine up myself.( i did contact a local installer who said he charges about 80).i found that my old card didnt work from home so could only get the free chanels and then a message kept appearing from sky, so i ended up getting skys free to view card.

hope this helps

I'm guessing they don't want to be liable for any damage when mounting the dish. Drilling in to brick or block is one thing...

your sky card wont work in any other box only the one its subscribed to , you will get free to view , way around it its take you box with you , but remember a hd box wont work with a standard dish /lnb

we had sky fitted in our caravans last year and it was fitted by sky !, we had freesat from sky in our rental with basic channels and proper sky in our own van, we have sky at home and we take our viewing card to our caravan and it works fine, we have the full sky package at home and only the basic 17 per month in the caravan
