Just got one of these new fangled Halogen thingys and they are fantastic, we think it likely we will never use the oven again (I hope as I have to clean it and the Halogen has a self clean function). As there are only 2 of us normally at the van we got a NUO mini Halogen oven from Robert Dyas for 25just the right size for the van and us, the chicken we had saturday was wonderful, crispy on the outside and really juicy on the inside. Fully recommended.

You can do anything you can do in a normal oven, It is quicker but as yet havn't tried to do much so can't really say by how much. The food (Chicken) is place on racks, the halogen lamp gives the heat and a fan circulates the heat around the meat so it cooks from all sides at the same time. This quote comes from the following website http://www.halogen-oven.co.uk/wordpr...-cooking-tips/. Quote..Using regular ovens there can sometimes be problems with cooking chicken breasts drying out as they bake, in the halogen oven the food never dries out as it cooks food while locking the juices in.

Bob, when I used to do chicken breasts for our old dear departed dog, I did them in the microwave, very quick and easy. Would never do chicken breast for us in the microwave but for the dog it was great

Its Bunty, I should have signed it but forgot
No, decided not to get another, at least not for the foreseeable future. She died eight years ago, lovely golden retriever, but we wanted to have some freedom to come and go as we pleased without having to worry about what to do with a dog, especially with taking our tourer abroad for long periods in the heat.
Turkey stays in the butchers till Christmas eve ....really good vacuum though.
