Default star gazing

just walked the pooch round the camp site, lovely clear night ( hence the cold previous post ) no artificial light were we are so looking at the stars is amazing, need to ask santa for a telescope ,took a trip last year on travels when I toured brekon, was in monmouthshire doing a tour ,went up the mountains with a set of guides to star gaze ,clouds all evening ,pity as they had some telescopes about 4 ft long x 2 ft wide ,would have been able to spot E.T with one of those

I once lay down in my back garden to study the stars after a night out. I think there was supposed to be some special activity in the sky that night or maybe it was just the alcohol.

My Dad is really into all this star/planet gazing and has got some great telescopes. He will often ring me and tell me to watch out for something or other happening at a certain time.

OH has got one that sits in the spare room collecting dust - well it seemed like a good idea at the time.

It's the same on our site Slimsey & on a clear night like last night we often spend longer out with the dogs, just to look at the stars. I don't think it will be long before hubby hints for father christmas to bring him a shiny new telescope!

Marianda24. I have all my own teeth which are in good nick.My father God rest his soul told me years ago to look after my teeth as false ones are horrible and you never enjoy your food the same with them as you do with your own teeth.I go to the dentists for regular check ups and get any work done if required. So for a pensioner my teeth are one of my strengths lol.

Ooo! A thread about teeth!
Err I mean stargazing!

For anyone interested in the skies at night, over the evenings of 12th and 13th of Dec, we should be able to see the last expected meteor shower of 2012.
