enjoy your weekend all of you that are going to your vans for the bank holiday weekend, or elsewhere for that matter.

Myself and 'my girlies' are off to Blackpool for the weekend but we are staying in a Travel Lodge..

There is a Northern Soul Weekend at the Tower Ballroom, and I cant wait...
see you all on Monday.
have a good weekend

I'm sat waiting for my wife to finish her shift then we're off to our caravan for the first visit of the season, a six hour drive and worth every minute of the journey for a two week break. Taking with us a new oil radiator, fire extinguisher, fire blanket and a door net to keep out the flies. It's like being a kid at Christmas!!!
Does everyone feel like that? Or am I just a 60 year old child?

Yes!
We are newbies and had 2 stays since 1st March.
We are going again this week for another 14 days, can't wait, should of bought a static before, we have been cold in our new van, but warmer times are ahead.
We are over 60 too, and more or less like kids, keep taking more stuff, so exciting!!

Great stuff, our first weekend in the bolt hole this year. We had that super hot weekend beginning of April. Boiling by day but so very cold at night! Great to find it all nice and dry, the containers of salt around the van did their job brilliantly and it was bug free. The only downside was we had to pay the annual fees which are considerable, it's an expensive game but overall I think it's worth it. We find a real advantage is that you can go when you wish avoiding the peak travel days, the busiest times and therefore normally missing the motorway congestion.

We came down for a visit the Sunday before last, just to check on things! Glad we did! Found a burst pipe under the sink!!! Don't ask!? Just check yourself that the tap is in the open position! Anyway I fixed that, so the van is already for our first weekend, that weekend was lovely and warm, so we decided to clean the decking, then speaking to the neighbors we found it was their last weekend! They had bought a house on the coast! I really like their caravan it's a willerby Westmorland with the patio doors option! Very nice 2011 model, we went home on Sunday had a chat about it, we bought it this weekend!!!! Woohoo! Not moving anything this weekend the boss just wants to relax so it'll be action stations next week! John & Lin Riverbend llangadfan.

Got away late Thursday afternoon, back Monday evening, swithed OFR on remotely before we left so wasnt too cold after a 1.5 hour journey,, chilly mornings but the sun warmed us up, weather was great, bit of rain in the evenings, but it was great to be back, and drive home in an empty car.
