Default Gilsland, Belhaven Bay or pease bay etc around Dunbar or N.Berwick area ??

Trying to decide on a site, looking around East Lothian area anyone any experience of or can recommend sites we should be looking at ?? Not bothered about bar, swimming pool etc necessarily but would be good if local pool within easy travelling distance, prefer smaller site tbh ?? Min 10 months open at least(would love 11/12 but prob unrealistic) Good areasfor walking the dog and pref near the coast as possible. Any help gratefully received

We’re at Belhaven Bay, nice smallish site, with nice layout. Dunbar swimming pool not too far away, we sometimes walk there. Belhaven Bay is just over the wall ideal for the dog when the tides out. The John Muir way passes right by if you like walking. Site is open 1st March till around the 6th Jan.
There is also Tantallon caravan park along at North Berwick ( same owner as Belhaven).
Or if you want really small and right beside the sea, there’s thorntonloch near Torness Power Station.
A few of the other owners at Belhaven came from Pease Bay a few years ago as they didn’t like the management and the way it was being run. Might have change now though.

Thanks for the information
Interesting what you say about Pease Bay, I wonder if there are any current Thurston Manor or Pease Bay owners here on the site that could provide an update on the current situation there ???

we had our tourer on a seasonal pitch in thirlestane castle lauder they have a good selection of statics about 30 minutes from berwick, a no frill site but well kept and cheapish compared to holiday camp sites.
or another one no frills but 10mins from coast chesterfield country park cockburnspath.

Have a look at Glororum Northumberland. NE69 7AW it's a lovely site. No pool no club house but a laundry, small shop ,a kids play park, etc. Central for Bamburgh, pool and spa at Lucker. Ideal for relaxing time. A lot of money has been spent in the last few years by the owners. I love it here !.
