Default Ceasing touring and staying static.

After a few years towing here, there and wherever, my wife and I have decided it's time to settle down.
We both started to struggle with the hitching and pitching involved in touring and it was starting to spoil the time away from home so the tourer is being sold and we have got ourselves a static.
We did our research before hand so are happy with the change and looking forward to happy times for the next few years.

to the forum. Enjoy your new static. There is a lot of excellent information on the forum and if you have any specific questions you need answering, just ask.

Good choice we are just across the road from you on Southcliff and we love it everything you need a stroll away in town and lovely beach just yards away sure you won't miss the hitching and pitching its just pure relaxation from the minute you get there

Thanks everybody for the welcome(s).
We watched the tourer trundle off down the road yesterday hitched up to the back of it's new owners gasguzzler ( I hope they get as much pleasure out of it as we did )
Now we can start to look at down sizing the car to something more Eco to run but not until after we have spent a few more days chilling out at our new 2nd home.

! You went static for the same reasons we did - we made the switch 5 years ago and haven't regretted it for one minute. Enjoy the pleasure that only ex-tourers will understand of turning up on site and only having to turn the water on! It's heaven ... and no more making up beds or waking up to a wet Sunday morning with that sinking 'soggy awning' feeling!
