Default Close to the sea?

Looking at the location of our statics on the current google maps thread it would appear that a large number of owners have chosen sites very close to the sea. As my site is in the countryside and an hour from the sea this left me wondering how high a priority being close to the sea was in peoples choice of site. Being near the sea means no more than a 10 minute walk from your static

I am also an hour from the sea. I would love to have a van by the coast but didn't want a commercialised site or the site fees that go with facilities and coastal locations.

It was all about cost for me x

I must admit to wanting a inland site next to a river and trees as I like to take photographs

However my OH wanted a coastal location. and believe me I know better than to argue with the OH.

Saying That love where we are.

Had to be by the sea! Born in Birmingham, almost as far as you can get away from the sea, I joined the Navy so I could be by the sea! Years on now - I want to be back to the sea. I love it

On a sea loch - so it is salt water so I am claiming it as sea even though it's about 20 miles to the open sea

We started looking by the sea but decided fishing and journey time were more important. No regrets at all.

Didn't have a longing to be by the sea. Wanted river, countryside and peace. Got it.

didnt want to be near the sea....
i dont like sand!
i dont like going on the beach abroad and then getting wet sand on my towel either!!
but i do like to swim in a clean sea with lots of waves... yes i know i am weird....

but i do like to walk along the promenade when i do venture into the seaside towns and i like to look at the sea but i wouldnt like to be too near to it...

i wouldn't want sand by the van as i would have to sweep up all day long...

Are you genetically related to my hubby? The amount of times he has moaned about sand since we had the van and even more now we have the dog. The poor bloody animal has to go in the shower every time he comes off the beach
