I was originally interested in this myself until I looked into it further. The energy savings trust have good info on air heat pumps. You can read for yourself but 2 points stand out clearly as being important & which put me off the idea.

1. Unlike gas and oil boilers, heat pumps deliver heat at lower temperatures over much longer periods. During the winter they may need to be on constantly to heat your home efficiently.

No problem there if they are so cheap to run, but here's the clincher for me

2.Since air source heat pumps work best when producing heat at a lower temperature than traditional boilers, it's essential that your home is insulated and draught-proofed well for the heating system to be effective.

Caravan insulation is, well crap really! so to e honest, I am not sure these pumps will produce enough heat to overcome the losses in a caravan.

I too was interested in this when it first appeared, in fact VERY interested, to the point whereby I sent the OP a PM stating that I would be not only pleased to receive a quote from him, but that I would also be interested in discussing the possibility of setting up a joint venture with him to cover northern England.

A year later I'm still awaiting a response...

Yeah it's strange Rob, I was very interested in the heating system that gibletjoe had posted about, and not only for it to be installed to our own van, I also PM'd him with regard to whether he would be interested expanding his business on a franchise basis, which would potentially have maximised his business on a nationwide basis.

I'm still awaiting a response...

Hi all,

I have sent an email to the op asking if he could pop by to respond.

Darren

Apologies for the double post, I didn't realise that posts in the commercial section were moderated, thanks for the explanation Darren, it makes perfect sense now.

I'm guessing that you've had no response from the OP then Darren. Hardly surprising I suppose seeing that he seemingly never responded to numerous PM's.

hello all sorry for my lack of activity on this site, I've had quite a long stay in hospital and only been back working since October, so playing catch up, looks like I have quite a lot questions!!, firstly BOB L hope you are keeping well, if you are interested in my systems I strongly recommend that you visit some of the parks that I've installed many systems on I' notice that your from west Sussex the nearest park to you is little Venice in Yalding Kent, this is quite a new park for me installing on but have approx 35 static homes running my systems, Im more than happy to spend a few hours with you meeting my customers, running through their views and looking at different installations, The main bulk of my work is in Reculver Herne Bay Kent where Im up to 150+ installations this includes statics and timber lodges again Im more than happy to meet. I also have 7 systems installed in my house in Herne Bay Kent that show a variety of different installations methods that's quite interesting to view, so this is another option, or im more than happy to come to you. please if anyone has any more questions or just after some advice Im more than happy to assist
