We have good insulation in our Lodge. The walls and roof have Kingspan insulation boards which are very good. The floor, on the other hand, has fiberglass insulation. That might have been OK but we opted to have laminate flooring in the hallway, lounge and kitchen areas. Those rooms have colder floors than the bedrooms which have carpets and are fine.
I will buy some Kingspan or other similar boarding and fit it myself when the weather gets warmer. I expect it to cost between 400 & 500 GBP for the material. To have it fitted, I suspect would be considerably more.

On a more positive note, My son and I fitted Trace Heating recently and I'm pleased to say that after a very cold night outside, the system is working fine. When I got up this morning, I turned on the cold water tap and the water was initially warm. A sure sign that everything is working well. Last year when the park sited the van they didn't lag the water pipe and we had an odd morning when the water in the pipe under the van was frozen. That problem has now been solved.
