Default Slot-in child/dog barrier

Whilst searching on ebay, I stumbled across this, and wonderered if it might be useful for any of us with toddlers/pets? I'm trying to picture my external door frame... I wonder if it would fit?
slot - in safety board just a thought....

OMG!!

i had one of these on my kitchen door when my kids were little... over 20 years ago now.. as they are 22 and 25 now...

but we just put 2 metal channels on the door frame and cut the board to size..... ( we even painted it to make it look nice.... ).. we slotted it in during the day and removed it after they had gone to bed..
you must be able to cock your leg over it tho!!

An old-fashioned remedy, but making a fast come-back. The old ones are still the best remedies .

I bet one of these can be easily made to fit a van door........hubby made a gate for one of our vans years ago to stop our 'then' Dog getting out, she was like Houdini and could jump like a Racehorse, so the gate had to be fairly tall.......no cocking our leg over, it had to be on hinges and open inwards.
