Hi Bells 64. Our site changed over to Gallagher a couple of years back from a very expensive provider and it was quite a bit cheaper. We don't have to insure with them though. Can choose our own company. I think the premium isn't cheap but its not too bad and the park owners deal with any claims. I have taken their insurance cover. However, judging by other comments made on here I think that they may have various policies. Possibly they agree these with individual parks. So you do need to check the cover offered to you thoroughly and the conditions and exclusions. The cover on Gallagher's varies quite a bit from the previous insurance we had............but also it seems that no 2 companies offer the same cover so difficult to compare prices really. Insurance is a minefield and, as others have said, its only when you make a claim that you find out how good/fair they are.

My insurance runs to next spring and I will get a quote from them then. We have also been told that if we have the site drain down and have the Gallagher insurance their excess of 250 will be nil, never heard of anything like this before and we will be doing our own drain down with a Floe device.
Hi Heather, I'm at my son's house at the moment looking after grandchildren. I'm almost sure that I took out the site's insurance which was by that company. When we took delivery of our new van we changed as the premiums were way, way cheaper than theirs. I saved over 200 and cover is more than sufficient.

Our site doesn't charge a premium for inspecting your insurance cover. As long as they have a copy and it covers what is needed, there's no problem. The excess on my cover is 50 so I'm not at all bothered by that. I will check tomorrow when I arrive back at the van.
