Was Karaoke & vodka last night till early hours so spent a bleary morning, its pouring with rain as I write but hopefully if it fines up going to walk a very tubby little white dog as she's not been getting the walks as much lately & I need fresh air. Tomorrow busy day, 3 tonnes grey slate aggregate to move from end of long drive to garden - well you have to do something to while away the time till the season starts !!!

I tried to get bayonet here for a lamp last week and we were told they're being banned throughout Europe, we had to buy a new fitting which would take a screw-in bulb. Energy bulbs here are about 7.60 to 10.60 depending which wattage you want!

We bought Osram and Philips halogen energy bulbs and get the full brightness on the flick of the on switch, far better than the others we've bought which seem to need cranking up before we get any real light. I'd definitely buy them again. I can't believe you're getting energy bulbs for 10p though!!! Arrrhh, thankyou sooo much for offering to do a bit of shopping for me Tia, thats really kind, our lovely niece gets our necesseties whenever I ask and stores them for us to collect when we're there, its such a struggle staying within the weight allowance on the 'plane though which is why we're driving over the next time. If you spot a ferry low on the back end you'll know where our car is parked!!!
