[QUOTE=Angela B;39397]Well, today, I was taken out to lunch by my lovely 19 year old daughter, did some (window) shopping, then came home and she did a french manicure for me ahhhhhh, that was a fab pressie, her time I mean, one day she'll be too busy I dare say.
tt, with a partner 10 years younger than me, it's fireworks all the time

Well Ang thank you for letting us know that you have a toyboyI can vouch for that as I am 5 weeks younger than wife.
But I meant that there is a fireworks display on your beach at weekend

Scorpio or Sag, really it depends on which horoscope I like the best!!

Had a brilliant nosh at the Ritz, lapsan suchong tea (tasted like the smoke from the fire but strangely enjoyable), followed by lots of little sandwiches, smoke salmon etc etc followed by small cakes followed by scones, clotted cream and jam.....followed by more of everything above...followed by Champagne.

The icing on the cake (sorry) was they played happy birthday on the piano and brought me a little cake to take home.

Quick toddle round Fortnum and Masons and then off to the train and reality

What a yummy fattening and thoroughly wonderful birthday!!

I hope your's was just as wicked Ang?

Much bigger birthday than that one Mupps - I have now reached the grand age of 58 and as hubs is 9 days younger than me, I can truthfully say (until 1st December) I have a toyboy!!

Wow Val!

Mine wasn't quite as 'grand' as your celebration, I can however, boast at having the undivided attention of my 19 year old daughter for most of the day - that, I consider to be priceless
She did my hair for me, and gave my nails a French manicure, then took me to lunch, then we did some (window) shopping, and then went home and waited for the rest of the family to come home from school/work.
We all sat at around the table eating and chatting and laughing for nearly 2 hours!
They bought me the plaque I had been trying to find to put in 'my new old girl' which reads "Memories Made Here"... I'm a softie, but those words are sooooo true for us as a family... after all, this 'old girl' was the caravan that brought us all back together, how strange we should end up owning her........

Oops!, I seemed to have waffled off into my own little world for a minute! lol
Thanks again everyone, it made me really smile xx

Val - Wow, you could have invited me along, I am not far away from you! When I said bigger birthday, I mean't 40th, 50th or 60th lol. My dream is to go to New York for one of my bigger birthdays.

Anj - what a lovely, thoughtful birthday present. Can't wait to see a picture of it.

Edit: Sorry I forgot to say - Happy Birthday to Noelg (57 lol - it is on the bottom of the forum's home page, no secrets on here). Hope you have a wonderful day.
