Good point about "on-line" billing . However , are there any cold hard facts on record anywhere ,that say that there have been huge problems or harm in any location ,caused by people in huge numbers , living in park caravans ?.
I think , as I mentioned , that this is yet another "let's annoy the plebs" campaign , dreamt up by politicians who are incapable , in many instances , of doing what they really SHOULD be doing ,so they come up with something like this , in order to justify their jobs and their over-inflated paychecks ! .
Cheers

I don't think there's huge numbers living in caravans, but there's a lots of caravans and if 5% were used as homes that's quite a lot of people. I know parks were the percentage is more than 5%.

One of the things that's happening is people are coming into the area, living in caravans and then drop themselves on the council at the end of the season and asking to be homed. I thought by moving into a caravan people made themselves knowingly homeless, but Mr Millar AM told me that these people are going to the top of the housing list at the expense of local people. Mr Millar AM has better contacts than I do so I have to believe them...

I've been pondering, I was wondering if stopping caravan park addresses from being used for benefit claims, school registers and the like might help? It's not unknown for the school bus to stop outside a school.

Rather than make caravaners prove that they are valid owners, stop livers using the address to access benefits and the like

Well , you surprise me , I can tell you for a fact that caravans on the park where we have ours , do NOT get Royal Mail delivery and that is the gospel .
Could be an answer .

I do hope this has not offended anyone

Most don't. I was shocked to find that a local doctors was suggesting that people get a local post office box number to allow them to register full time with doctors. I know a doctor down south and I asked him about this. He said patients need good consistent treatment and if he had parks in his area he's accept PO boxes to ensure people got what they needed.

One thing I've worked out it that this a hugely complex issue with many facets.

Thanks BM, but I don't think he was having a go at me.

I hope this is going to be an interested and maybe heated debate. I understand this subject from a park owners point of view. I need to know what it means to you guys as it may impact on my views and responses.

Keep it coming guys!
