Hi all.
I'm looking to buy a cheap static to refurb and live in permanently.
Looking for advice on how easy or hard this maybe and also for cheap static for sale.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, if you use the search button there's lots of advice and tips re living in a static. You need to find a residential site, you can't live on a holiday Park. Be very careful. Do your research.
Finding a used static is the easy part, you'll also need to factor in transportation costs, plus finding a site to take your static will also be a challenge.

Hello and welcome.
You need to first decide whether you are looking for a licensed Park, your own land, or somebody who is prepared to allow you to live on their land.
Fort your own land, there are all sorts of hoops to get through, and it may be unlikely that you will get permission to live in a static unless it is a temporary measure while you build or renovate a house on the land.
For somebody else's land that is not a licensed residential park, it will have to be somebody who is turning a blind eye to regulations, which means you are at their mercy - you will not have any legal rights and take the rick of being ordered off at short notice.
For a licensed residential park, you will have a great deal of security - but you will not find a licensed residential park (in England/Wales) that will allow you bring on your own home, especially if it is an old static.
There are 12 month holiday sites, but read through the numerous posts about the risks of trying to live on a holiday site - some people manage this, many others end up homeless.
If you clarify whether you want a park, or already have your own land, you may get some more constructive answers.
Incidentally, refurbishing a static caravan or park home is perfectly possible, and many people have done this. The problem comes in getting a site that fits your intended use.
