Default Cottage & Glendale, Port Carlisle

Looking for anyones thoughts on Cottage & Glendale site in North Cumbria as were thinking of taking a run down for a look about as there seems to be some caravans on there at a decent price. All pros and cons about the place are welcome

I looked into that one but decided it's a bit too "parky" for me, ie. there seems to be a lot of facilities there that I wouldn't use and I'd still be paying for. The prices did seem very reasonable though for what you get.

As always it depends what you are looking for.

I reckon it's a great little site, in an interesting location.

At the Back of Beyond. LOL.

Decent staff, as well.

It has a "country" feel when you're inside the park, yet (once outside) you're just a short stroll from the Solway Firth.

Well worth a visit, at least.

(and if I remember rightly, it has a 12-month licence)

Thanks Mojo & Greybeard. Really looking forward to going down there and fingers crossed they have something in our price range

You will find that the site owners have invested heavily in upgrading the facilities.

It is nice ... owners only, and no sub-letting, but with a nicely sized club-house, laundry etc.

I almost bought an old van there myself, but had to withdraw once I realised that I was getting a bit ... er, stretched financially!

I may look at that again if my situation ever improves.
