Smile BK Sheraton bluebird 2007

Hi I am new to this forum and just looking for some help and advice. I have a BK Sheraton bluebird 2007 which I have had from new. I am trying to get some idea of its value. It is in excellent condition, DG, central heating, three bedrooms, two toilets, large walk-in shower. Free standing suite which includes one chair and two sofa beds. Patio doors with decking outside. It is currently sited and I have four years left before I need to do something with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Is there a trade book similar to what is used for cars to get a price range ? Regards

Have you checked/ do you know what your options are regarding your licence/ agreement

I presume you want to sell it 'off site'

Current trade list is circa 12k. You can try selling with 4 years left but most buyers want more. Can you sell privately or has it to be removed from park?

don,t think i would pay 12 grand with only 4 years left.assuming site fees are around 3000 a year, that would make it,s cost 24 grand for 4 years use.

so presumably more than 12k on park?.but with only 4 years left that makes it more unattractive to buy.

Yes Mick, very spensive! Perhaps when the 4 years are up Anthonysgirl102 will be able to keep it on site with a year by year review. It's a shame that a van that is only 12 years old should be on the scrap heap as I bet it will be good for another 10 years.

Thank you to all who have posted. It is sited currently and fees are @ 3000 per year. I have only four years left on the current licence. This is all that I could sell it with. If the site bought and sold on they would issue another 12 or 15 year licence depending on demand for pitches. It is in excellent condition so yes it is crazy. Site will buy at trade price. Option to sell privately but pay a management fee or off site but cost of removal has to be paid. Can rent for remaining term. Does not have to be moved from park. Just exploring options. Very helpful feedback thanks

"Very helpful feedback thanks"

It's good to know this forum continues to help people. There's nothing quite as good as getting others opinions and thoughts on a subject when it puzzles you.

I also have a 2007 BK Bluebird Seville but it is a two bedroom caravan I asked for a sale value currently from someone offsite out of interest and was told 4500 to 5000 currently if in good condition and it will devalue at 900 per year. I am not sure if on site would be similar or more or less. I have not enquired at this stage. It does seem crazy. At my site at Parkdean Looe Cornwall they do not tend to keep older caravans on site. It would be sold and moved off. I am not sure what to do with it. Seems a shame. I hope they will extend for another year after 2019 but site is extremely popular for sales therefore I think probably not. It is currently booked all of 2016 apart from one one week and half of 2017. We keep some weeks for ourselves but I have to book them in a long way ahead.
