You need to know how much the site fees are & other bills. How long you can keep the caravan on site. How long the season is. How much they charge for various services I.e draining down etc.
I'm sure others on here can advise you more than me as I'm new to this but it's great! Xx

to the forum. Here is a few things you need to ask:
1. How much is site fees and when are they due?
2. How much is rates and how often?
3. What is price of gas and electricity?
4. How old can a van be on site for without having to upgrade?
5. What sort of warranty will you get with your vam if it is 2nd hand? Try get at least a few months.

to the forum Young28.
Make a list of what you would like your new van to contain, Central Heating, Double glazing, 2 beds or three, etc. Always get everything you agree with the park in writing so there are no disputes after buying. Before you buy ask about the pitches you can have your van sited on as you may not like the first one you are offered. When you decide on a van, offer less than the asking price, The end of the season is near and owners may be tempted to give a discount but you won't get it if you don't ask. You may also ask for free fees for 2018. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Ask if you can walk around the site by yourselves and ask other owners what the park owners are like to deal with. I'm sure other members will add to your list, but take your list with you to the park so that you don't forget to ask about a certain point.

Good luck with your search and negotiations.

, friends of ours had a caravan at Trecco bay and from what I remember the fees were very, very high, I think 6-7K a year. You'll have to factor this into your on-going annual costs, along with rates, electricity and gas. This could amount to about 600 a month increasing annually, so just to be aware, even if you buy the van outright you'll still have to find this amount for the next 10-15 years.
Still loving my caravan !!
