Default Rugby League World Cup 2017

So any Rugby fans out there who will be watching the RLWC 2017

Personally I cannot wait for it. England kick of the tournament against Australia on Friday morning, live on bbc 2

With all of the drama the Kiwis have had, England really have a good chance of making the final but we have said that before.

Tonga look really strong and I cannot wait to watch the matches from PNG

Match live on BBC TV, Freesports, Premier Sports and online- see http://www.rlbet.co.uk/rugby-league-...-2017-preview/ for details

So who do people think will win? PS if you not a rugby fan, go for Australia, they always win

I'm not into Rugby but my eldest nephew has recently started secondary school and has been drafted into the rugby team after a trial. He loves it although his first sport is football.

Default G'Day

Hi All
I am a new Static owner, cannot move into her until March 1st and currently me and my good lady are in New zealand visiting our daughter and new grandson. I am an avid RL'er having played for Oldham and Rochdale in my time.
We went to the Tonga vs Samoa game...those fans are something else lol. Friday sees us back in Wellington for the Kiwi - Fiji game.

Having watched most of the games so far on tv I can only state England have no chance at all of lifting the cup. We are simply too slow at the play of the ball and too slow in defence. The southern hemisphere game is at least 4 times faster than ours. Look how Wales, Ireland and Scotland fared !
As one of my old coaches used to say " basic RL wins matches " and that is true. England give their opposition far too much time on the ball especially when we are defending, simply waiting for the charging hoards instead of meeting them.
Tonga are a team on a mission. I watched them beat the Kiwis for the first time in their history, and a well deserved win it was too being 16-2 down at the break.

As a newbie on here can anyone assist me on how I post a new thread. I am struggling.
Cheers
Dave

When picking England to win, I did state I knew nothing about rugby.

I just watched the highlights of the Australian v Fiji semi- final. If England get through their semi tomorrow they will be in for a real battle in the final next week.
