Default Stove top kettle

Hi To lesson the chance of the electricity popping, the site electrician recommended a stove top kettle. I found a good deal today, so I'm sharing it here.
It's a Morphy Richards 2.5 litre from Wayfair, barley colour, reduced to 17.99 from 72 (so they say, though other sites show them at twice the price I paid). It's not much dearer than a camping kettle.

That's a great bargain. We don't need one because our electricity supply is very good and doesn't trip out. For anyone that has a problem, is a no brainer.

Looks like just a marketing mistake.

You can buy lower wattage kettles which would probably do the job. Normal household kettes are usually 3 Kilowatt where as you can get much lower wattage kettles which take longer to boil but wont trip your electric. Having said that, we use a 3 Kw kettle all the time & never have a problem. We also have a gas kettle which cost less than 10 for when we are using electric heating in winter so use electric kettle in summer & gas kettle in winter.
