Default Electricity costs

I've just received my electricity bill and by my reckoning the unit price is 00.19.
I've used 381 units and been charged 76.31 inc 3.63 VAT.

Standing charge is 49.20 inc 2.34 VAT.

Does the unit fee seem excessive, how can I find out what they pay for the electricity as I understand they aren't allowed to increase this?

Thanks

I think they have to tell you what they pay. We are about 10p so it does seem a lot and we only pay for the electricity so why is your standing charge that high. Is that a year ?

Is it a standing charge or an administration cost of the park? The park is allowed to charge a fee for admin. Whereas the standing charge would be from the original supplier.

Thanks for your replies and sorry for the delay in replying, signal poor in the van. (That's a whole new thread!)
The standing charge and electricity costs are for the year from Sept - Aug. I'll try and find out the electricity unit costs this weekend.

I would ask if the 49.20 + VAT is actually a standing charge from the electricity company. It does seem excessive, although being in Spain I don't have anything at hand to compare it with.
