Default Bin area

How well is the bin/rubbish/recycling area looked after on your site?
Is it checked everyday? Are there recycling bins? Are there enough bins so that the lids close properly? Do people use the recycling bin if there is one? How many bin areas are there on your site? Does it ever become a problem?
With all this hot weather I was wondering if anyone is subjected to smells from these areas if they're not maintained properly.

Hmm, recycling by the 'other gate', and our bins are emptied every 2-3 days, by the site owners team of grafting workers. New bags are even fitted, ready.

We have like mini skips with lids. Emptied at least twice a week. Even in high season not a problem. People shove vacuum cleaners the lot in them.
Recyling is well hidden behind the launderette and I take mine home.

We've just one big skip on our site albeit it is a small site. I often wonder why there's no recycling on Abbeyford as when you look in the skip it is nine tenths full of beer cans (seven tenths mine I admit). Surely the site could make a mint from recycling and reduce my ground rent. I will be up the office when I've had a few on Saturday to hammer this point home. Caravan at the gate next Saturday!

We have 2 mini skip things with lids on several places around the site, one for rubbish - one for recycling. They are emptied often and rarely are full. No smells there!!!

John the site owner empties them every day.

Loads of storage bins around the park and absolutely every recycling bin that you could think of around the park. The storage areas are very well maintained .

Amply served here with bins and recycling stations, the bin areas are always tidy, and each area also has a bin for garden waste

lots of bins on site..they are emptied regularly but they only recycle glass.. which annoys me so much as they could do so much more... cardboard and plastic especially.............

Very interesting.
Unfortunately, although we have a number of bin areas on site, including recycling and garden waste areas, they are only looked at once a week and as you might imagine when the site is busy, as it is now the school hols are here, they fall far short of being able to cope.
It's the one thing we're unhappy with here, and we'll be using what you've all said when we have a meeting with the owners about it. Not rocket science is it...more peopl need more bins!!
