Default Help 1st time buyer north lincolnshire area

Hi All
I've been reading the forum for a little while and we have decided to start looking to buy a van.
We are viewing a couple of second hand on Haven Golden Sands Mablethorpe this weekend. We need to be Lincolnshire and close to coast, good facilities as we have 4 kids ranging from 2 to 13.Anyone got any recommendations of good sites?
I've written a list of questions to grill the Haven rep with at the weekend but would be grateful for anyone that owns or has experience of buying (and selling, as that I understand is the expensive bit) with them.
Also is heating a must, I thought so based on my own view but lots seem to just have a gas fire in the lounge.
Sorry if the post is a little rambling, my head is full of so much information
Thanks
Rachel

to the forum Rachel, there's lot's of advice on here about buying (and probably the pitfalls when it comes to selling), I'm sure a mod will be along soon to supply you with some links. But what I would advise is, don't buy a van if you think you're going to be selling it soon because it's like throwing money down the drain.......buy what you can comfortably afford and enjoy what you have. The large corporate owned sites have a lot more facilities but the vans and the fees cost a lot more so make sure you are going to be using all the facilities or it's a waste of money.......I know this cos I've been there, done it and got the T shirt

ML.

Hi both
Thanks for the welcome and advice. There is definitely lots of info on here and its great to have people that have been through the experience to ask!
We don't plan to sell for a long time as young children so we are in it for the long term.
Really pool, beach, fishing, and a bar are the essentials!
Rachel

Rachel. Its great that are able to have your own van while your children are still young enough to enjoy it.

Heres a link you might find useful. Sorry if you've already seen it

aboard ,found a nice in haven mabethorpe ,I like the beach there & the wacky beach huts
Good luck with your purchase ,don't let the salesman dictate ,drive a bargain whatever the screen price is take a thousand off it or walk away you will soon be called back

You helpful people
We are going to the coast at the weekend starting in Mablethorpe, then having a look at Cleethorpes, Chapel St Leonards and Skegness to see what they are like as we know the Yorkshire coast really well but not Lincolnshire.
I have spoken to a few owners direct as well about theirs that they are selling and have got a good idea of how much is "loaded on top" by the sites!! Its a right learning curve.
I'm ready for the hard sell!!

Just check your site fees are the same for a private sale as one through the site.
