Default Deck "sail"

I did search but didn't find much.
Anyone have/use a sail shade to provide some cover over your deck? Ones I've seen are not too expensive and provide a temporary cover for dinning or sitting (west coast Scotland, you never know when a shower might come in!) https://www.primrose.co.uk/sail-shades
We have a front and side deck and ideally thinking of having a table & chairs in the corner, we would have to increase 2 poles on the deck and somehow attach the 3rd point to the van. Not something we would leave up, just when we want to sit or eat out and the weather is iffy. As we haven't actually spent a night in our van this is just my mind going into overdrive

That doesn't look like it would offer any protection from Scottish sideways rain, and more likely to act as a sail and fly off into the sunset taking wathever its attached to with it.

Got to agree with this, nice idea.. but cant see how that would do anything other than actually become a sail when the bad weather hits!

Old Sparky & Deckspares, you're probably bang on, rarely does the rain fall vertically on the west coast. Still like the idea though.....not giving up till we've been and experienced more of the weather there. Really didn't want a parasol over the table.....we'll see!
Thanks for the input on this
