Default Propane price

Checked with the site a few weeks back regarding the price of a 47k refill.
I was glad I was sitting down as they told me with a smile 95, but we bring it to your caravan and connect it up

Well the price of gas has gone up...but that’s a definite OUCH!.
Alas, as the rules stand, sites can do what they want I.e. not let other suppliers on site ( so as you cannot transport that maintains their monopoly) or insist on having all bottles fit ( & this is charged for) by their approved fitter. This being on Health & Safety grounds.
I suspect that your site has these sort of restrictions and your stuck with coughing up the money....

I thought Our gas was pricey but nothing compared to yours. I had a 47 Kg delivered from the park on Friday. The price 69.50 and it was delivered and connected for me.

Are you allowed to buy it from elsewhere? if so I would be ringing a few suppliers to see what price they are charging.

Cool

Im in Essex and pay 51 a 47kg bottle delivered and fitted. Park holidays charge 78 a bottle so its a no brainer.

Clacton tool hire, are brilliant and you can pay over the phone give them the combination to the padlock and chain and they do it all for you.

Yes...We have a meter,so it's easy to check...when we 1st when on piped,we used the gas fire no ch or dg in old van,we halved the gas usage by not using fire after 1st bill and used of halogen heater etc. .....now we got van with ch,dg etc. And fitting a wireless thermostat makes the ch more controllable....and in my opinion is a must on gas ch...I should point out in my case I fitted wireless thermostat at zero cost,as it was given to me as it was only 2 months old ,due to friend upgrading his home ch

Our gas price went up from 57 to 61 last summer for a 47g bottle, I don't know if we'll have another rise this year. I agree with treetopper the best thing we did was having a wireless thermostat fitted for the central heating, it saves us loads on gas usage and would recommend it to anybody who has CH in their van.

We also have a wireless thermostat and I would say that it definitely saves money on gas. It came with the van so that was a bonus.

60 for 47kg a reduction of 5 on previous years price due to site negotiating a better deal from the supplier
