Electric bill (March to November ) 33.34, charged at 0.0913p per unit and includes an 11.95 standing charge.
Stayed 73 nights, using a mixture of gas CH and an OFR, so pleased with that.
Oh and no "admin fee" which I'm pleased about.

53 nights and altogether we were for electric 85 and almost 2 tanks for the water heater 19KG 68 probably used about half a tank for fire and cooker so say about 17 so total for the season 170 approx.

We used in our first bill of the year for electric 52 too end of June but the second bill was only for 32 kind of reflected the better weather conditions.

It's so mild just now and I thinks it's because of an El Nino, this could go on till christmas, remember the last mild aproach to christmas was 1983 and there was an El Nino event just before that.

Default administration charges

Hi,
Is there anybody on here can give me some advice. I want to challenge an administration fee of 15 + VAT on my electricity bill for the year. I don't have an argument on the cost of the bill.
also when I renew my annual insurance the company are wanting to charge me an admin fee of 40. It does state on the T & C's that a charge will be made but 40 seems steep. I want to challenge them and not pay the fees what can they do ?
Thanks

Have they only just introduced the eleccy admin ? think 40 seems to be going rate for sites who charge for checking insurance.
maybe others on park leisure sites will confirm the charges....

park resorts charge 40.if you don,t take out their insurance.i could get our insurance far cheaper, but by using the park insurance they will assist with any claim, and the insurance company would probably be more sympathetic to keep their custom.

Just got our invoice for this years site fee's and electricity bill. Electric came to 125 which included a 35 availabiltiy charge ( new name for standing charge me thinks ). Not grumbling at that as we did use the OFR radiators a lot this season.

Default Electric bill seems extremely expensive!!!

I'm a bit concerned! We've just had our first bill in for the utilities, the gas and water are next to nothing but the electric is 343.00 + VAT. Now my issue is we have only had our caravan 4 months and only stay at weekends, plus for the first month we didn't stay at all!!! Am I being ripped off here?

I've also compared this to my household bill which has always been expensive and for 4 months to run my large 3 bed roomed Victorian house is only 220 a month with everything being electric!!!!!! I would very much appreciate any help or advice on this.

I would imagine that you are possibly paying for usage "prior" to your ownership!
I would contact the admin on park and ask for the closing / start meter readings and calculate it from there.
Good luck
Dave
