Well not the end of the world important but we once forgot the TV and we were staying for a long weekend. It was very quiet the first night - I know it is stupid but I think sometimes it is just background noise. Little un was not too impressed that she couldn't watch 'her' programmes in the morning either. Ours has a built in DVD player so we also missed that too .....

Fortunately, we mentioned it to one of our friends on site and they had a spare TV, but we had to go into town to get a lead for it because the picture was rubbish without a proper ariel.

I often think that we have forgotten something really important and have got half an hour down the road and I have asked OH to stop the car somewhere to check that we have got the item.

It is funny how sometimes I cannot remember if I have done something or packed something. Must be on auto-pilot sometimes. Usually as we are pulling off the driveway, I say are you sure you locked this or turned off that and we end up running into the house to check things again"

Funny you should say that - My OH left his mobile phone there last year and we were almost home before he realised. So he was two weeks without a mobile hahaha

My hubby has had to go back to the van for my handbag once and his wallet once.
But the stupidest was leaving my niece's "baby". A scruffy little ragdoll that my Mum bought her as a stocking filler when she was born.
We had her with us for a long weekend, took her home on Sunday, then got a phone call from my brother "What are you doing tomorrow", "nothing" say's I. "Well you are now, we're going to Brid to find "baby". She was absolutely traumatised without it, and they only got her to bed on the understanding that "baby" would be back tomorrow.
What a carry on !!!
ML.

It's funny now when I look back, and needless to say I haven't forgotten it since! We keep a spare glucose inj in the fridge in the caravan now as well, as the nearest A&E is 10 miles away through winding (unlit) country lanes.

What's the most important item YOU have forgotten?
This should be interesting!
So glad to read this Angela B, I've done the same thing, arrive on holiday only to find daughters insulin left on kitchen bench at home (managed to get it out of fridge but not in to bag) mad pannic finding local doctor for new perscription, so glad we were in scotland and not some foreign land.
Delighted to know I'm not the only one, I need hang my head in shame no more.
