So an hour or so from Coventry and a site allowing bring-ons. That will narrow your field of search.

Try Lower Lacon Caravan Park in Wem Shropshire. They have a pub a club house, shop on site outdoor heated swimming pool and its walking distance into Wem which has a large Co-Op around 7 different takeaways & small shops and around 5 pubs all serving food too. Its only approx 1 hour from you. The fees are under 2000. Open from March till end Dec but January if you stay for the New Years Eve party. They are not strict on colour of decking or what you do to your plot. Lovely crowd. If you want friends to come and stay the site have a tent area and also a touring section the other side of the park. The statics are in a different section of the park and you would never know they were there.

My site is over 3hrs away from you on the East coast. The site is small with a small indoor pool, small clubhouse, shop etc. Site fees are 1800 for a 10ft van and 2000 for a 21ft van, although the 12ft price also covers a full length deck. No age limit on vans and you can have wood decking or build your own, vans can be boxed in too. Water is included in the site fee, pets are welcome and the beach is next to the park with access. No rate charges, the site is open 10 months a year, electric is supplied and is 12p a unit (i think, we paid 72 fir the year, that included, lights, TV's, heaters on full pelt and the leccy blanket on), gas is bottled at 58 for a 47kg bottle (prices may have changed). It maybe just too far for you

Hope you do find a nice place. 4k a year is a lot expecially when they flood alot.

Si

Coral Beach, at Ingoldmells', in Lincolnshire fees were sub 2 this year. And they are hoping to only have to raise them by around 100 pounds for the 2013 season. But that might be too far for you, but it is only a suggestion.

On site are a chippy, clubhouse, small supermarket, kiddies bar and club, and of course the launderette.

Ok, a lot of good things about the site - but I cannot see what it is called and where it is.
