A 3kW draw would make quite a dent on a 16A supply I think

3Kw = 12.5 Amps

I'll check the incoming supply when I go back to the caravan again in a few weeks and report back.

I've used a 3Kw plus a 2Kw heater, TV, lights and a kettle oh and the fridge of course and all good with the MCB without issue if that gives you an idea of the incoming supply

Nice! So what is the incoming supply on that van?

Wonder how much we can get the electrician to give us when he hooks our van up?

Judging from all the comments on this thread, I would think that we will probably use the electric fire in the lounge/kitchen area and use the central heating to warm the bedrooms and bathrooms on one of those digital thermostats that have been talked about on a different thread.

Not having had a static previously, I think it will be trial and error before finally deciding on what's best for us. One thing is for sure, we won't be cold, otherwise it seems a bit pointless.
