Hi Ian and welcome.

Cant help with the sites you are looking for Im afraid as we are in Wales but just wanted to say that not wanting a pool or club is not necessarily boring. We have chosen the same sort of site as we want relaxation and peace and quiet.

There are a few folks in Bonnie Scotland on here so hopefully they will be able to help you in your search

to the forum. We are just south of Johnshaven, probably nearer 2 hours from Edinburgh. There is one new and one 2005 model for sale on our park. Fees about 1500 per annum, inc rates, on the sea front, open seven months no pool or clubs.

It is called Miltonhaven. Plenty in Fife Silverdykes nr Anstruther is only just over a year old although any van there will probably be new so perhaps not what you want for your first van. We considered it when we moved but they wanted too much for the fee to bring on our van.

we live in Edinburgh, our van is about 2/3hrs hours away we are at Solway Coast 50 yds from the sea it has all the things you dont want but it is a large site and where we are is very very quiet as we are in the prime part a ten minutes drive to main entrance and well away from the entertainment/swimming pool etc.

Hi ianmck, My site is about an hour from Edinburgh and a caravan has just come up for sale there. It is a very quiet site right on the beach with very reasonable site fees. PM me for details of site and phone no. of owner, but you'll need to be quick as the caravans sell very, very quickly, often in just days.

Hi Ian,
We are on Tayport Links Caravan Park and absolutely love it! The peace and tranquility is great and it is the selling point of the park. Check out their website for current vans for sale. We have been here nearly 2 years now. It's on the Tay estuary with Tentsmuir forest on the doorstep as well as the city of Dundee just a 5 min drive. It would prob just be an hour from Edinburgh. There is loads to explore in the area and it's walking distance to local shops etc.
Feel free to get in touch if you want to know more!
Marie
