Default Static Caravans With the Best Insulation

Hi all

As you know we are determined to find the right static on the right site at the right price so have been considering everything with regard to cost of keeping one sited, especially as we will be retired and living on a budget.

Don't know if this question has ever been asked before but here goes. Which brand caravans have the best insulation, bearing in mind the cost of fuel, though a caravan is smaller than a house, the heating can mount up in the cold weather and as we are planning to spend long periods in ours when not abroad, need something which has effective insulation.

Also are newer vans more insulated than older models ?

thanks.

Thanks Fontaine for that.

We will only be able to buy one van following our retirement and want to ensure the choice we make is the correct one.

Hi Jan, as fontaine said new vans are far better insulated now. One other thing to consider is build quality. As well as good insulation Pemberton caravans are built like tanks. Good quality tanks at that!
Over the last 20 years we have had hundreds of after sales repairs on Willerby's. On Pembertons? Two....

At the caravan show I was just at, most manufacturers offered an option of extra insulation in their holiday homes (at a cost!)

Kind Regards

Craig

Good to read that seeing as we bought a Pemberton Avon last year! Have to say although we have had to replace the shower because of extreme weather (-20! ) the actual inside of the van never feels damp or even when we had no heating cos the boiler couldn't be used only the electric fire it never felt really cold inside.
